Benjamin Franklin sponsored his immigration from England to the United States.
He wrote a famous journal called "Common Sense". It described the reasons why the Colonists should seperate and live free from English rule. Many people read this journal, and it convinced them to support the cause of liberty.
At first no-one would print it because they were scared that it would be treason. Eventually it was printed and distributed anonymously. It was a huge success.
